Your body is a superhero
We don’t hear it often enough, but our bodies are simply incredible.
We take food and turn it into energy, ideas, creations, books, companies, projects, families, relationships and so much more.
We form connections with other people, and animals, and get to enjoy them as the superheroes they are too.
Did you know that when someone is nursing a baby, the glands in the nipple can detect any viruses or other illness in the baby and can then create the necessary antibodies to put into the milk?
Did you know your resting metabolism only measures the amount of calories you burn performing the simplest actions? It only measures what your body uses to breathe and pump blood. Anything else you do, even if you think you’re resting, adds to the energy you need to keep up.
Did you know so many of your cells and systems regenerate themselves every 7-10 years? You’re not an entirely new person, but your body is constantly working on repairing and improving itself. It’s evolving. And so are you.

These things happen without us having to think about them, for the most part, but I didn’t want us to go through life without appreciating them.
